Sister Odette LeBlanc, ndsc, in religion Sr. Odette-Thérèse, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Monday October 12, 2015 at the convent where she resided following a lengthy illness. She was 81 and in her 63th year of her religious life. Born September 30, 1934 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Emma (Gallant) LeBlanc.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by three brothers: Paul (Lucille) of Dieppe, Alonzo of Saint-Jérôme, QC and Gérard of Ellington, CT; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by an infant brother.
Sister LeBlanc will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère convent at 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance). Visiting hours Wednesday, October 14 from 2 to 9 pm, and Thursday from 9 am. Solemn vespers will be held Wednesday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated in their chapel on Thursday October 15, 2015 at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
