PETERSON, ELLEN D.
The death of Ellen Peterson occurred on October 14th, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born January 13th, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Mersereau) O'Leary and wife to Max Peterson of Beaverdam, NB.
Ellen had been an employee of NB Power for 30 years. She was involved in her community including being a secretary for the Liberal Party in her riding and being an active member and Sunday School teacher at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She loved watching sports (especially her favorite teams the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays), and was a great cook, known especially for her pickles. Above all, she was a caring individual, who took great interest in others. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend, who will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Max; her sons, Jeff Peterson (Roberta) of Riverview, NB and Jamie Peterson (Janet) of Harvey, NB; grandchildren, Justin, Katie and Janessa; siblings, Harold O'Leary of Colorado, Doug O'Leary (Mabel), Herb O'Leary and Philip O'Leary (Vonda) all of Beaverdam and Marie Charters (Wayne) of New Maryland, NB; step-grandchildren, Brandon McIntosh (Shannon) and Megan Keezer (Matthew) as well as step-great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Hudson, Leah and Harper and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, John "Jack" O'Leary and Barb Myshrall.
There will be no visitation by request, a memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception and interment in the St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Beaverdam. The Rev. Canon Bruce McKenna will officiate.
For those who wish, donations in memory of Ellen may be made to the IWK or charity of the donor's choice.
