We regret to announce the passing of Charles Anthony Moffatt, 52, of Guy Street, Glace Bay, on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (McNeil) Moffatt.
Charlie was employed as a caretaker at Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay. He was known for his great sense of humour and his willingness to always offer a helping hand.
Charlie is survived by his sons, Charles Daniel (Brianna), Kitchener, Ont. and Jamie, Dominion; brother, Daniel, Ont.; sister, Mary (Dean), Ingonish; beloved dog, Gizmo.
There will be no visitation. A family graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
Special thanks to the doctors, staff and nurse, Judy Bonnar of the Glace Bay Hospital, Mike, Fabian and Helen MacKinnon, Herman Acker, Barb and Bernie MacLean, Ralphina Boutilier, Lydia and Molly Moffatt and his support team of many friends and visitors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Glace Bay Food Bank or to a charity of your choice.
