Passed peacefully away at her residence on Wednesday October 14, 2015, Jean Avery, age 67 years. Predeceased by her parents, Rhoda and Tom Smith; sister, Virtue Drover; and her brothers, Robert and Melvin. Leaving to cherish her memory and mourn her loss, her loving husband Eldred Avery; children: Ed (Valerie), Maxine (Craig Stringer) and Corrine (Dennis Marsh); grandchildren: Christopher (Alana), Jordan (Erin), Cole (D'onna), Justina, and Jarrod; great-grandchildren: Taylor and James; sisters: Gertie Green and Lorraine (Ralph Baker); brother-in-law, Jake Drover; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A heartfelt thank you to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital and the many extended family and friends who've provided so much care and support for our mother and family during these past few years. Resting at St. Andrew's United Church, Hodge's Cove, Trinity Bay, after 2:00pm on Friday October 16, 2015. Funeral service will take place at St. Andrew's United Church at 2:00pm on Saturday October 17, 2015, with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Long Beach. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations in our mother's memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre.
