It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to the most loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Passed peacefully away on Friday, October 16, 2015. Charles Augustus Pearcey, age 86 years Korean War Veteran PPCLI. Predeceased by sisters Sheila Herbert and Dorothy Crummell and members of the Dicks family. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of treasured memories his devoted wife of 60 years Irene (Dicks); daughters Brenda (Ted Cardwell), Sharon (Keith Dawe); grandchildren Adam Cardwell (Nicole Martin), Emily Cardwell (Blair Hunter), Sara Dawe-Kean (Pat Kean) and Justin Dawe (Nicole Glynn); proud great grandfather to Jet Cardwell and Parker Kean. Also leaving to mourn siblings Margaret Stanford, Elizabeth Freeland (Jim), Lorraine Harden (Leroy), Harold (Jean), Edward (Shirley), Leonard (Doris) and brother-in-law Walter Crummell. Loved and forever missed by his many nieces and nephews and treasured by the Dicks family who he loved with all his heart. Charlie will also be remembered by his lifelong friends, neighbours and his New World Fitness Friends. Charlie passed as he lived his life...with courage and dignity. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the CNIB, NL or to The Terry Fox Foundation.
