After a courageous battle with a rare cancer, Lucinda (Cindy) McCabe Horne passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, October 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 58 years.
Beloved wife of Willard, and loving mother of Vanessa (Michael) and Will (Matt), and stepmother of Natasha Cairns (Jason). Cherished daughter of Dora McCabe and the late William McCabe, sister of Maurice, and Delma MacMillan (deceased), daughter-in-law of H. Shirley Horne, and the late Alton Horne. Sister-in-law to Sandra Horne (John), Carol Horne and Dave MacMillan (Judy). Best friends with Patsy, Donna and “The Girls”.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Stanhope Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Donations in memory of Cindy may be made to the Provincial Palliative Care Unit or QEH Diagnostic Unit.
