Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Monday, October 19, 2015, aged 69 years. Barbara was predeceased by her parents John A. Reid and Ruby R. Reid of Chapel Arm, Trinity Bay, NL. Leaving behind with fond and loving memories her soul mate, for the last 41 years, John (Jack) O'Brien of Mount Pearl; her devoted daughter Tina Clarke (Ralph); three precious grandchildren: Matthew, Jordon and Bradley Clarke who she truly adored. Barb also leaves behind three brothers: Lloyd (Mable), Herbert (Dot), and Elwood (Frances); one sister Edna (Mike); sisters/brothers-in-law: Patsy French, Marge Bennett (Gordon), Liz Evans (Richard), Kay Wadland, Mary Fleet (John), Bernice Parrell (Richard) and Edward O'Brien (Beverly); also a large circle of nephews and nieces and her two step-daughters: Donna Coombs (Howard) and Joanne O'Brien and their children. Special thanks to Dr. Heismeen and the nursing staff at the Waterford Hospital, and the Staff at 2 North East and 2 South West at the St. John's Longterm Care Facility at Pleasantville for their loving care. Cremation has already taken place at Barrett's Funeral Home, Mount Pearl, with no visitation at Barb's request. Christian burial to take place at a later date at her Church in Chapel Arm.
