It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Robert Gillis on Oct. 8, 2015 at the age of 55 in Brampton, Ont.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late John and Dolly (Brady) Gillis.
He is survived by his two daughters, Laurissa (Liam), Taylor and their mother Karen, all of Ontario; sisters, Rebecca (Francis) Fiore, Shauna Gillis (Steph); brothers, Danny and Raymond, grandchildren Jailyn and Nolan and a special friend, Jim Rahim, who was like a father figure to Robert.
Robert was also predeceased by brothers, Edwin, John Boyd and Lloyd; sister, Barbara; sister-in-law, Debbie; paternal grandparents, Jim and Catherine Gillis and Milly and Eddie Graham.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass to celebrate Robert’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24th at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard, Mt. Carmel Avenue with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating, followed by a reception in the parish hall, Convent Street, all are welcome.
