It is with deep sadness that the Corbett family announce the death of our oldest sibling James E. Corbett on Oct. 14, 2015, in Naomi, B.C.
Jim was born July 22, 1940, in Sydney, N.S.
He enlisted in the armed forces Sept. 28, 1962, "to see the world" as he often said. He married Joyce Charney and after many postings including twice in Germany, Yellowknife and Cyprus, Jim retired in Parksville, B.C.
Jim enjoyed all sports, hockey, baseball, football and golf, both watching and participating. After he retired Jim coached Special Olympics, swimming and track for many years.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Marg and Jim Corbett, his wife, Joyce Corbett, sister, Priscella Waddell, brothers, Ron and Pat and his sister-in-law Lois Charney.
Left to remember are his brothers Melvin (Moose), Jed and Shawn Corbett and sister Colleen MacPherson, his sister-in-law Joan Corbett and several nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace dear brother — you are missed.
