BURCHILL, MARJORIE
It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Marjorie Burchill of Saint John, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 21, 2015. Born in Saint John on July 16, 1934 to the late Frederick and Marion (Thompson) Day.
In her earlier years, Marjorie worked for Irving at the Golden Ball. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church Choir and enjoyed singing, spending time with family and friends and was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 45 years Bill Burchill, only son John Burchill both of Saint John; two precious grandsons Matty and Alex; brother Bart Day (Gwen) of Rothesay; sister Ellen Wark (Jack) of Hampton; sister-in-law Grace Day of Ontario; nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents Marjorie was predeceased by her brother Allan Day.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, October 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mace’s Bay Cemetery.
Donations in Marjorie’s memory can be made to the Neo Natal Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital or with charity of stuffed animals to children in crisis (these can be dropped off at the funeral home).
