Mary Madonna 'Donna' Bishop

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Donna Bishop, 96, at the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney, on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Long) King.
She was employed as a nurse for many years until her retirement.
Donna was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Sydney River. She enjoyed playing the piano for many years.
Donna is survived by her two brothers, James King, Florida, David (Phyllis) King, Sydney Mines; brother–in-law, Dan MacLean, St. Catharines, Ont., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Bishop, sisters, Katherine 'Kay' King, Anne MacLean; brothers, Gregory, Louis, George and Edward; sister-in-law, Anne King.
Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sydney River with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating
Interment to follow at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
