BROWN, THELMA
Thelma Elizabeth (Hood) Brown of Sussex passed away on October 23, 2015 at the age of 90. Thelma was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Elizabeth (Grieve) Hood and the wife of the late Orland Patterson Brown.
Thelma is survived by her two daughters: Patricia Standing (Arthur) of New Maryland and Marilyn Devlin (Robert) of Calgary; three sons: Glenn (Susan) of Fredericton, Laurie (Lynne) of Victoria, BC, and Bill of Sussex; her brother Donald Hood (Lorraine) of Magaguadavic; 12 grandchildren: Robyn and Eric Crane, Jeremy, Zachary and Nicole Brown, Kristine and Kevin Bergquist, Samantha and JP MacDougall, Carolyn Widmer, Daniel and Rachelle Standing, Stephen and Chelsey Standing, Sarah and Cole Padget, Mary, Anna, Cheryl and Caleb Stockham; 11 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Caleb, Ireland, Kaiden, Desmond, Wyatt, Madeleine, Juliet, William, Penelope and Sloane; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
Thelma is predeceased by her husband Orland; her infant daughter Nancy Ann; her four sisters: Winifred in infancy, Grace Duplissea, Lorna McCutcheon and Frances Howell; three brothers-in-law Herbert Howell, Clair McCutcheon and Carey Duplissea.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Mrs. Brown’s life will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Wednesday morning at 11:00 followed by a reception in the Church Hall.
