It is with great sadness that the family of the late Douglas Hussey announce his passing at his residence in Cox's Cove on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 59 years, Dinah (nee Joyce); children: Emma (Gerald), Hughes Brook, Dale Robinson (Nora), Robert (Alma), Dallas, all of Cox's Cove, Lynn (Gary), Brampton, ON, Mark (Marlene), Corner Brook, and Dorothy (Keith), Huntville, ON; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Karen Hussey and Darlene Hussey; son-in-law Wade Park; special homecare workers Shelley and Mae, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Emma Hussey; son Douglas Hussey; baby Hussey; daughter Tracy Hussey; in-laws Gordon and Dorothy Joyce; brothers: Stewart Noseworthy (Cedella) and Alpheus Hussey (Dallas); sisters: Lottie Park (Wilson), Janie Keatings (Cyril), and Phoebe Barnes (Roland); grandchildren: Floyd Payne and Colin Robinson; brother-in-law William Joyce and son-in-law Alpheus Payne. Friends may visit Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Cox's Cove on Sunday 7-9 p.m., Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 10-12 noon, from where funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Pastor William Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
