Passed suddenly away at the Health Science Centre on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Alphonsus Martin; brother John; sister Theresa; granddaughter Miya; and nieces Agnes Hogan and Theresa Martin-Kavanagh. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Rosie (Faron) Coffin, Gertie Martin, Sonya (Norm) Martin-Drake, Lavina Jenkins, Fergie (Dawn), Andy (Jenn) and their mother Agnes Penton; his common-law wife Catherine "Kitty"; his 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Alphonsus (Shirley) special friends Gower and Stella; as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Flatrock. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto.
