Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, Leo Murphy, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his mother Mary (Densmore) and father James, brothers Anthony (Nellie), Francis, William, John, Jim (Ada), Mike (Monnie) Stephen (Marcella) Gerald, sisters Mary (Gus) Aylward and Catherine (Chuck) Jewell. Leaving to mourn with many wonderful and loving memories, his wife of 63 years, Cynthia, and seven children, Debbie (Kevin Fagan - deceased), Paul (Marilyn), Barry (Joss), Ann (Ed Williams), Cindy, John (Susan), Doug (Laurie) as well as special nieces Sandy and Shelly (David and Joshua Brophy) 15 grandchildren, Chris (Kelly), Mark and David Whitty, Stephen (Meghan), Andrew, Liam (Becky), Danny (Jacqueline), Michael (Moira) Sean, Colin, Jessica and Katie Murphy, Heidi, Heather and Cynthia Williams, and 4 great grandchildren Landon, Bradley, Keira and Payton, sister in law Phyllis Murphy, special lifelong friend Elizabeth Stanley, as well as a very large circle of nieces and nephews relatives and friends. Leo was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose memories we will always cherish. He was a hardworking man with a great sense of humour. He always had a story to tell, he provided well for his family and enjoyed the company of his many relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Andrew Hutton for his unwavering support and many visits, Elizabeth Fuller, the community health nursing staff especially Penny and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre. Visitation to take place at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon - 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass to take place from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Rd at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015. Inurnment to follow at R.C. Cemetery, Kilbride. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
