Paul A. Carson of Nackawic, NB passed away peacefully on October 30, 2015 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Paul was born in 1926 at Hawkshaw, NB, a son of the late Wardlow and Elva (Kilcollins) Carson. Paul worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Department of Transportation, Valley Forest and the City of Fredericton.
He is survived by his wife, Ida (MacFarlane) Carson; his children, Elouise Lagacy (Roger), Nackawic, NB, Stephen Carson (Arlene), Hinton, AB and Stewart Carson (Della), Jasper, AB; five grandchildren, Tommy Lagacy (Sheri), Peter Lagacy (Melissa), Dennis Lagacy (Candice), Samantha Turbide (Tony) and Kayla Carson (Steve); eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Hilda Stairs (Dalton), Woodstock, NB; two brothers, Roy Carson and Ralph Carson (Marguerite), both of Woodstock, NB; sisters-in-law, Ellen and Joan Carson, Alice, Maudie and Flossie MacFarlane; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Vaughn, Floyd, Donald and Glen Carson and sisters-in-law, Jean, Cavell and Madeline Carson.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Rhyno officiating. Private interment at Otis Cemetery. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
