SHERWOOD, CARL
Carl Sherwood, born July 1, 1934 in Moncton, NB, passed away at age 81 on September 15, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Carl is survived by his wife of 54 years, Aldean of Kamloops, sons Jeff Sherwood of Calgary and Ken (Kelly) Sherwood of Kamloops, daughter Patty (Bob) Gilbody of Calgary, grandchildren Brandon, Miranda, Ethan, Chloe, step-grandchildren Amanda, Cody and Kim, two great-grandchildren Hayden and Luca, two nephews Sean and Kevin Tracy of Moncton, NB, and many wonderful in-laws.
Carl was predeceased by his parents, Myles and Viola Sherwood and sister, June Tracy, all of Moncton, NB.
Carl served in the RCAF in his younger years, moving to Western Canada in 1972 and settled in Kamloops in 1977 where he retired from the CN as a locomotive engineer in 1994.
Carl and Aldean enjoyed many seasons golfing in the Kamloops area, he was passionate about music, especially the guitar, and often played at family gatherings. Carl followed hockey, loved the Blue Jays and often reminisced of Benji, his beloved dog.
