It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Albert McMullin on Nov. 3, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Dominion, he was the son of the late Leona (Almon) and Daniel McMullin.
Albert was a retired coal miner who enjoyed fishing, playing cards and pool with friends at the New Waterford Pensioners Club.
Albert is survived by his three sons, Billy (Brenda), Brian (Pauline) and Dannie, Sydney; sister, Mary (Babe) Eksal; daughter-in-law, Gloria McMullin; his grandchildren, Shannon (Bryan) Durdle, Eastern Passage, Billy (Lori) McMullin, Barrie ON, Lindsay McMullin, Calgary, Kari-Ann and Aaron McMullin, New Waterford, one great-grandson, Brady and his companion, Mary MacKay.
Also surviving are his extended family, Tommy, Donald, Kim and David MacDougall and their children, and his step grand-daughter, Nadine Harte.
Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his son, Albert 'Boo', his ex-wife Mary 'Mookie', his partner for many years Martha 'Marty' MacDougall and his step-grandson Martin Harte.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service to celebrate Albert’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
