The death of Ella Margaret Colpitts age 95, occurred peacefully at home on Sunday, November 8th, 2015.
She was the only child of the late G. Frank Blakeney and Hannah Mary Griffiths, born in Mount Whatley, NB on January 24th, 1920.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry Saunders Colpitts, daughter-in-law Penny (Tooke) Colpitts, sister-in-law Mary (late John) Coggins, Warkworth, ON.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Amherst, NS- a former deacon and life member of the Greta Grimmer Missionary Society. She attended First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton and was a member of the MacLellan –Fraser-Young AMS.
She is survived by daughters Linda Anderson, Amherst; Mary Ellen (Mike) Arseneau, Stellarton; with whom she resided for the past 18 years; son Charles, Amherst; grandchildren Scott (Katie) Anderson, Topsham, ME; Peter (Penny) Anderson, Lisbon Falls, ME; Heather (Conan) McNamara, Durham, ME; Stephanie (John) Golino, Lisbon Falls, ME; Michelle (Christopher) Knight, New Glasgow; great-grandchildren Ella Anderson, Colorado Springs, USA; Emily Anderson, Lisbon Falls, ME; Tim Bear, Bangor, ME; Kyle Michaud, Sabattus, ME; Norah and Brayden Knight, New Glasgow.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date in First Baptist Church, Amherst with burial in Westcock Cemetery, Westcock, NB.
Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton, NS.
