GORMAN, SHIRLEY ANNE (SNELL)
On Sunday, November 8th, 2015, Shirley Anne Gorman passed away unexpectedly at her home. Born in Saint John she is the daughter of the late Earle Snell and Bertha (Pike) Chamberlain and step-daughter to Lloyd Chamberlain.
Shirley worked hard for most of her life, retiring from Summertime Industries in 2009. Shirley had to stay busy though and had been working at the EPR Bingo for a number of years. She absolutely loved her Tuesday and Sunday shifts at the bingo hall where she made so many dear friends. She was a gentle and kind woman who adored her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. They were the light in her eye. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She will be missed dearly by her children Peter Gorman and Sheri Garfield (Will) and their father Peter Gorman Sr.; brothers Fred Chamberlain (Maxine) and Wayne Chamberlain (Lynette); grandchildren Kristin and Jaylee Garfield and Melissa Morgan, as well as, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral will take place Thursday, November 12th, 2015 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1 pm. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
