
Clovis Melanson
MELANSON, CLOVIS
1921 - 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Clovis Melanson, of Résidence Oasis D'or, Dieppe, NB at the age of 94. Born in Gayton, NB, on July, 18th, 1921, he was the son of the late Philias Melanson and the late Dehlia Saulnier.
Clovis, a veteran of WWII worked at No. 5 Supply and Services in Lakeburn for over 30 years. He was a founding member of the Memramcook Legion and a life-time member of the Knights of Colombus Council #1310. He enjoyed life to the fullest, had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to laugh, was very generous and a giving person as well as a devoted father and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Lenny (Mary Jane Muise) from Lynn Mass, Francis (Diane Boucher), Léoline (Normand Hétu), Charline (Larry McKnight) all from Moncton and by his sister, Prémilia Gaudet of Villa Providence, Shediac, his 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ida Gaudet, his three sisters: Cémida, Iona, Eva and his step-mother, Leda Saulnier.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 9:30 am until time of service. A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, November 19th, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
