Passed peacefully away on November 16, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, Gloria Smallwood, aged 73 years. Predeceased by parents James and Violet Davis. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her husband of 52 years Augustus; children Karen Smallwood, Kim (Rick) Stead and Kent (Diana) Smallwood; grandchildren Samora, Lili Anne and Cleo P, Christine, April, Adrianna and Robert, and Jason; great-grandchildren Austyn and Mackenzie; sisters Joan (Ray) Clarke, Phyllis Worthington, Deborah Matthews, Carmel (Paul) Kirby and Violet (Jack) Sargent; brother James (Linda) Davis; brothers-in-law Charles (Shirley) Smallwood, George Whiteway and Violet and Alex Smallwood, who have been a great support system and travel companions; also a wide circle of other relatives and friends especially her friends in Largo, Florida, as that was her snowbird home. Visitation will take place at Carnell's Visitation and Reception Center, 1045 Topsail Road, on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Saturday November 21 from Wesley United Church at 2 pm. For mom's love of flowers, the family will gratefully accept them or donations in Gloria's name may be made to Wesley United Church.
