It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Violet Elizabeth (Penney) Greene at home on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Foley) Penney.
Violet was a member of Pereaux Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Lola B. Eaton Auxiliary.
Violet is survived by her daughters, Carol-Anne (Alex) Yim, Gibsons, B.C. and Shelagh (Fred) MacAulay, Sydney; sons, Gary (Maureen), Hinsdale, Ill.; Garland (Eva), Wolfville, N.S. and Graham (Maryanne), Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, one brother; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton and two sisters.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at Pereaux Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception in the church hall.
