May 18, 1959 - September 16, 2015
It is with profound sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my beloved husband Michael, age 56, at St. Paul’s Hospital. You were my everything for 22 years.
Michael was born in Toronto and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was predeceased by his mother Vernice. Left to mourn are his wife Rita Erickson of Sechelt, step-daughter Amorette Neufeld, step-granddaughter Sevia, siblings Joseph, Andre, Randy, Tina and Goldie.
Michael attended St. Thomas More School, Niagara Falls. He worked as a long haul trucker throughout Canada and US. Coming to the Coast in 2005, he found a measure of peace and serenity. He loved the beauty of the Coast. He also loved his pets, and the pets of others. For those who truly knew him, they saw past the imposing stature and came to know the genuinely gentle soul he was.
I wish to thank Dr. Wadge, Dr. Reznik, ER staff, paramedics and St. Paul’s Hospital ICU staff who worked so hard to try to revive him.
Michael’s funeral service was held September 30 at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Clarence Li. Interment was at Seaview Cemetery, Gibsons.

I will miss you for the rest of my days, my love and helpmate. You always knew how to make me laugh.
