We the family of the late Leo and Anne Ryan wish to thank the literally hundreds of family and friends who have supported us through the devastating loss of both our parents last November.
During these days, weeks and months following their passing, we have been blessed with the loving embrace of our family and friends. It is during these difficult times that we see how lucky we are to have a large circle of support. Special thanks to parish priest Fr. Peter MacLeod, along with Fr. Sandy MacNeil, Fr. Joe Gillis , Fr. Danny MacLellan, Fr. Martin MacDougall, Fr. Jake Andrea, Fr. Bedford Doucette, Fr. Vernon Boutilier and Fr. Patrick O'Neill. Thank you to the St. Joseph’s Church Choir, lay persons, deacons, eucharistic ministers, lectors and pallbearers, along with our community of Southside Boularderie for hosting receptions following the funerals, and for organizing a special benefit night for mom and dad. We want to recognize the support of the wonderful staff of Haley St. Adult Services Centre, the terrific staff of Gordon Whitney, members of “The Prophet” play group, the Fire of Love Prayer Group and the staff of Jobes Funeral Home. Thank you to all ICU and 4D staff, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, especially Dr. Ansari and John Boudreau, who provided outstanding care during mom’s illness. Thanks as well to the staff of 5 East at the Northside General and Dr. Bill MacDonald for his care and support. Thanks to Dr. Neil and Vivian Christians. Thanks to the NSDMHA Board of Directors, MPHRC Stretch Drive Fund, and the staffs of Glace Bay High School, Dr TL Sullivan, Thompson, Baddeck Academy, CBVRSB Library Technicians, Student Services and those at Staff Development Centre for their support and generosity. To all our extended family and friends, and to mom and dad’s friends and former co-workers, our sincere thanks for your love and support.
