ROGERS, Charles Jackson "Jack" - It is with a heavy heart that the family of Charles Jackson "Jack" Rogers, 87, of 84 Waverley Street in Yarmouth, N.S. announce his peaceful passing on November 18th 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Yarmouth on September 16, 1928, he was the son of the late William Rozee and Elizabeth E. (Burrows) Rogers. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. He was a very well known welder at Hamilton & Porter Machine Works for many years and in 1984, with his daughter and son, started Waterview Machine Works Limited. He had a love of the outdoors and he, along with his brothers, enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips together. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Joyce D. (Stoddard) Rogers, daughter - Rolene (Pat) Leverington, Yarmouth, son - Wayne (Sheryl) Rogers, Grirnshaw, Alberta; granddaughters - Tanya Bangay, Laura Bangay, Amanda Rogers; grandson - Cory Rogers; great grandsons - Elijah Wood, Greyson and Josh Rogers and a sister - Elizabeth (Betty) Swim of Lockeport. He was predeceased by his brothers George R, Walter E, William J, Douglas and a sister - Phyllis "Bucky" Patten. Funeral arrangments were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation or funeral by his request. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Private family service at a later date.
