1953 - 2015
Dolland Léger, 62, husband of Patricia (Drisdelle), passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC after a very courageous battle with cancer. Born January 11, 1953 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Val and Odila (LeBlanc) Léger.
Dolland was a humble man who exemplified generosity toward his family, friends and community throughout his life. He also made us all very proud when he became the first Acadian to own a car dealership in the Great Moncton area in the 1980’s.
Besides his wife Pat, Dolland will be sadly missed by his children: Sylvie Vienneau (Daniel Gaudet) and André Vienneau (Pam Thompson); his beloved grandchildren: Maya, Jade, Sebastien and Eve Montiel and their father, Carlos, Jacob Vienneau and Kloé Gaudet; his siblings: Denise Landry (Charles), Adrienne LeBlanc (Don), Conrad (Kathy) and Murielle Léger-O’Connor (Gary); as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Janice (Bourque) Léger in 2011.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
