Linacy - Ann Marie (Forward) Maxwell, , age 67, of Linacy, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by family. Born January 11, 1948 in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Effie and Bob Forward. She was retired from Charm Jewellers. She was a member of Trinity United Church and a retired member of the Linacy Ladies Auxiliary. Ann enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was always there to give a helping hand. Ann was heavily involved in her grandchildren’s sports and activities; her world revolved around them. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Maxwell; daughters: Cathy (John) Russell, New Glasgow; Robie Lyn (Buzz) Nixon, Mineville; Christa (Trevor) Hazel, MacLellan’s Brook; precious grandchildren: Colby, Chad and Cailey Russell; Max and Anna McDonald; Grace Mallaley-Hazel, Brooklyn and Allyson Hazel; mother, Estelle Lemoine; siblings: Judy (Bernard) Kennedy; Dale (Bill) Hutt; Heather (Fred) Billard; Craig (Karen) Lemoine; David Lemoine. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Germaine Lemoine. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 pm Saturday in Trinity United Church, with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be in Abercrombie Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
