Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre on November 25, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Hilda King, her husband Capt. Peter Drake and brother Richard King. Leaving to mourn with fond memories; her children Clem (Jackie), Richard (Florrie) Alberta, Judy Drake (Martin Knabe) Texas, Frances Drake (Ricky Pence) Texas, Peter (Marilyn), granddaughters Tanya Drake, Annette Oldford (Gerald), Renee Power (Doug), Melissa and Emily Drake, great-grandchildren Abby and Cameron Tassone, Riley, Julie and Anna Halley, John and Maria Power, brother John (Nancy) King England, nephew Stephen King (Marilyn) Alberta and a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thanks to all the staff at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, the staff at the Admiral's Coast Retirement Centre and to a large circle of family and friends. Rita not only dedicated her life to her family, but to numerous volunteer organizations. Her life's work was helping the youth of the communities and in later years the elderly. She has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd.
