AIRD, SHEILA
Sheila Aird of Evanton, Scotland passed away at her home Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the age of 70. Born in Moncton, NB she was the daughter of the late Everett and Doris (Horsman) McDermott.
She is survived by her husband Murdoch of Evanton, her son Murdo (Katy) and granddaughter Megan of Edinburgh, Scotland, her sisters, Sylvia (Frank) Burns and Bernie (late Bev) Wood, and her brothers Frank (Karen) McDermott and Jack (Ann Marie) McDermott. Sheila is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many special cousins and friends.
Beside her parents she was predeceased by her brother Lorne McDermott.
To know Sheila and her kind heart was a blessing to all of us. Her family was her life. Being a grandmother was her greatest joy. She loved to laugh, do crossword puzzles, take walks with her husband and friends and her cooking/baking was second to none. We were proud to call her our sister.
Funeral service will be held at Kiltearn Parish Church, Evanton on Tuesday December 2, 2015 at 1 pm. Burial will be at Kiltearn Cemetary. There will be a reception following the service.
The family would like to express thanks to all who showed their support by sending flowers, sharing kind words, making that special phone call and for so many messages and cards of condolences. Your thoughtfulness towards us these past few months will always be remembered.
