HARRY PAUL
Our beloved brother and uncle, Harry Paul, passed away on November 13, 2015. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Harry Paul Sr. and Shirley Paul, brothers Trent and Mitchell and sister Edith. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Sam (Coral) and Harold, sister Evangeline Scott (Daniel), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Harry came to the Sunshine Coast from Alberta where he was raised. He loved it so much here, he relocated and made it his home. After serving in the Navy, Harry went on to fight forest fires in a helitac style, travelled North America as a carpenter building cooling towers, then settled down on the Sunshine Coast to further his carpentry skills and build many of the beautiful homes on the Coast. Harry also worked at Shorncliffe Extended Care Facility as a registered extended care nurse. With Harry’s quick wit and fabulous sense of humour, he enjoyed making others laugh and he was a joy to be around.
Harry’s gift as an artist has been enjoyed by many people through North America, as Harry spent countless hours along the seashore doing portraits of people, land and seascapes, along with much Native art.
Harry will be missed by many people on the Coast and in Alberta.
With sorrowful hearts, we do not say goodbye to you, Harry. We say sleep in peace, we will all be together soon.
