SOUCOUP BENOIT, LEAH MARIE
Leah Marie Soucoup Benoit, 65, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Anita (Daigle) Soucoup.
Leah was retired from Service Canada (Manager). She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends, especially watching her grandsons playing hockey. Leah was known for having a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone; but first and foremost, she loved being a foster parent.
Leah will be sadly missed by her husband of 29 years, Edgar “Ben” Benoit; step-children, Lisa Hebert (Laurie), Corina Benoit and Derrick Bulmer, all of Moncton; step-grandchildren, Ryan Hebert, Tyler and Cody LeBlanc and several other step-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Burnett (Angus) of Hampton, ON, Valerie Norton (Edward) of McNamee, NB; brother, Edward Soucoup (Brenda) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Valerie Soucoup (late Ken) of Moncton; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Leah’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
