LEGER, STELLA MARIE
Stella Marie Leger, 66, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, with her loving family by her side. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Vautour.
Stella enjoyed playing bingo and going to yard sales; but first and foremost was spending precious time with her family.
Stella will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend of 52 years (married for 47 years), Roland “Rolly” Leger; children, Danny Leger (Robin) of CFB Trenton, Rachel Leger-Caissie (Larry), Michel Leger (Melissa), both of Moncton; two grandsons, Matthew and Jeremy; sisters, Diana Lutes (late Ivan), Florence Wright, Imelda Benoit (Harold), Pauline LeBlanc (Alfred), Marie Cormier (Francis), Murielle Kinsella (Sonny), Louise Gallant (Tom); brothers, Raymond “Guy” Vautour (Donna), Melvin Vautour (Brenda) and Patrick Vautour; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Stella was predeceased by sisters, Claudette Perry (2015) and infant sister and brother, Corrine and Roger.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm followed immediately by a Service to celebrate Stella’s life at 4:00 pm at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stella’s memory to the St. George’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
