Wayne Rushton
RUSHTON, WAYNE DAVID CHURCHILL
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Wayne Rushton of Rothesay, NB, who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on his birthday, with family at his side. Born December 2, of 1940 in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Edna (Kaizer) Rushton.
Wayne is survived by step-sons Thomas (Sheila) of Saint John, NB and Kevin (Diane) of Titusville, NB; step-daughters Kathy of Saint John, NB, Karen of Truro, NS and Faith of Saint John, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family in Amherst, NS; many friends and feline friend Missy. Wayne was a painter by trade and worked for Centracare for many years. He was a veteran of the Militia and enjoyed camping and traveling. He was a devoted husband, father and papa.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his wife Joy (Totten) Rushton, step-son Blaine and canine companions Skippy and Ben.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (506-646-2424). By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1158 Route 820, Barnesville, NB on Sunday, December 6th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Barnesville Cemetery.
