
Captain Bennett "Lorne" McCarville
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, December 3, 2015 of Captain Bennett "Lorne" McCarville, of Kinkora, aged 85 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Teresa (O'Donnell) McCarville.
Born in Maple Plains, P.E.I. on September 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Parnell and Mary Maude McCarville. Cherished father to Gordon (Shelly), Kevin (Carole), Robert (Carla), Francis (Lauretta), James (Annick) and Glenn (Kelly). He will be forever missed by his 11 grandchildren, whom he quietly adored. Lorne is survived by his brother, Ray, and sisters, Frances Burd and Mary. He was predeceased by brothers, Leo, Emmett and George and by a sister, Edna Hagen. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Barb MacIsaac, Joan O'Donnell, Ruth Leufkens, Bernice Callaghan, Pat O'Donnell, Aggie McCarville, June McCarville and Doreen McCarville-MacCormack. Lorne will be greatly missed by his most beloved friend and companion, Kay McCardle. Her love and support has been greatly appreciated by the McCarville family.
Visitation at Kinkora Place, Kinkora on Monday, December 7, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held on Tuesday, December 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Malachy's Parish Church, Kinkora.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. Malachy's Cemetery Fund or Restorative Fund.
Interment in the parish cemetery.
