Passed peacefully away, Friday, December 4, 2015, Georgina (Ena) Phoebe Alexander (nee Taylor) at the Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 94. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, children: Marilyn (Boyd Penney), St. John's, Carolyn (Taylor Colbourne), Corner Brook, Sandra (Brian Colbourne), St. John's, Brian Alexander (Rhonda), British Columbia; sisters: Edith Wheeler, Helen Fillatre and sister-in-law Billie Taylor; grandchildren: Christina (Sean Harris), Catherine (Dave Bordieri), Kelly (Willie Smith), Sandy (Craig Manning), Janice (Kieran Rousseau), Glenn Colbourne (Ashley), Danielle (Steven Croft), Michael and Candice; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Reed, Liam, Ben, Regan, Chase, Jayden, Carrie, Gwendolyn, Charlotte and Quinn; sisters-in-law: Margaret Warren, Bessie Stead and brother-in-law Kenneth Alexander, and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Haig Alexander, brothers: Harold Taylor, Frank (Lorraine) Taylor; sisters: Gertrude (Jack) Blundon, Marion (Gus) Baggs, Jessie (Tim) Stratton, special friend John White; sisters-in-law: Grace (E.F. Moores), Edith (Charles) Fowler, Clarice (Tom) Tedesco, Margaret Alexander, brothers-in-law: John (Joyce) Alexander, Albert (Joan) Alexander, Lloyd Alexander, Gordon Warren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 8th at 11 am from Oakland United Church with Pastor Wendy Lowden officiating. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
