HUGHES, IRMA MARIE
Irma M. Hughes, 82, of the Jordan Life Care Centre and formerly of Lutes Mountain, entered into eternal heavenly rest on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Born in Dundas, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Hicks) Sprague.
Irma was a retired employee of the Beacon Light Motel with over 20 years’ service, member of Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene and she enjoyed reading and spending time with her cherished family.
Irma will be sadly missed by her daughters, Julie Holliday (Pete) and June Wood (Stephen); sons, John (Kathryn), Joseph (Donna), James (Diane) and Jason; 11 immensely loved grandchildren, Shane, Alexandra, Stephanie, Christopher (Rachel), Ashley, Kayla, Morgan (Tara), Nicholas, Brittany, Andrew (Karen) and Natalie. The proudest Great-Granny of Cody, Colton, Laylan, Oliver, Hudson, Emmerson and Briar; sister, Doris Gillcash; brother, Gerald Sprague (Nancy); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Irma was predeceased by her husband, Francis “Frank” G. Hughes (July 2003); son, Jeffery; brothers, Raymond, Donald and his wife Winnifred; sister in law, Barbara and brother in law, Allison.
Visitation to be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Irma’s Life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dale Thistle officiating. Reception following the service. Interment to be held at Horsman Cemetery, Lutes Mountain, in the spring.
