ROBERTS, VERONICA AGATHA
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family, Veronica Agatha Roberts (Recoskie) beloved wife of the late Kenneth G. Roberts passed away in her 88th year on Wednesday, December 09th, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Johanna (Pecarskie) Recoskie. Born on February 5th, 1927 in Wilno, Ontario.
Veronica lived her life as a very caring, loving, generous and giving person. She was devoted to her family, friends and also lending a hand to those in need. She was known as “Mrs. Fix It” and very seldom was she found not doing anything. Throughout her life she enjoyed the game of golf, curling and playing bridge. Veronica truly enjoyed travelling and bus trips alongside her travel companion, sister Bea. They visited Europe, Ireland, Scotland and Newfoundland to name a few. She always talked about their 21 Day trip through the Southern United States. She will be forever missed and loved always.
Veronica is survived by her four daughters; Sandra Campbell of London Ontario, Kathy Trenholme, Susan Roberts (David) and Laurie McQueen (Barry) and her one son, Thomas (Betty) all of Saint John, N.B. She is also survived by sister; Bea Cook of London Ontario. Veronica will be forever missed by her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband Kenneth G. and parents, she is predeceased by her four brothers; Felix, John, Benny and Sylvester, sister; Martha Shea and son-in-law, Bob Trenholme.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). An hour of visitation will be held on Monday, December 12th 2015 at 10:00 A.M. preceding the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be placed towards the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated.
