Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Science Centre on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Crosby Clarke age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents: Archibald and Annie Clarke; in-laws: William and Alice Cleary; brother-in-law: David Street and sister-in-law: Wilmot Clarke. Leaving to mourn is his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Maureen (nee Cleary) his cherished daughter Pam, of Airdrie, Alberta, the light of his life his son Christopher (Sandra McEvoy) and pops three precious little buddies Jack, Aiden and Christian. Also leaving to mourn his brothers: Reuban, Shirley (Lilly) and Walter (Sandra); sisters: Sarah (Lawrence) Porter, Rebecca (Ken) Fagan, Ethel Street, Louise (Barry) Scott, Audrey (Gary) Dawe, and Judy (Jerry) Churchill; brothers-in-law: Bill (Joan), Doug (Geraldine), Paul (Anna), and Kevin (Luanne); sisters-in-law: Sandra (Des) Reardon, Carolann (Nick) Shannahan, and Linda Cleary (Derrick); special friends: Don and Marie Porter, Shirley and Nick Quilty, Joan and Max Burt and Wes and Marion Osmond, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and many many friends, including his cabin and hunting buddies in Mahers and Millertown. Crosby was well respected throughout the business community as owner and operator of Magnum Contracting Limited. The Clarke family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rorke and Dr. Thomas from the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic, the nursing staff on 5SB HSC and Dr. Hart from Cowan Medical Clinic. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Saturday, December 12, 2015 and Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the Parish of St. John The Evangelist, Topsail. Interment to follow at the St. John The Evangelist Anglican Cemetery Topsail. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in Crosby's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic.
