Passed peacefully away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Health Sciences Center while his brother sang him to his final rest. Donald Francis Murphy, aged 76 years, was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Murphy; brother William Murphy; mother and father-in-law Beatrice and Clarence Wells and sister-in-law Theresa Murphy. He will be missed and remembered with a lifetime of happy memories by his devoted wife Sharon; two precious daughters Sheri (Mark) and Heather (Paul); loving brother Bob (Helen Hynes) and his four grandchildren Chelsea, Aaron, Alexander and Courtney who deeply loved their Poppy. Also left to mourn are sisters-in-law Ruth (Frank), Marg (Jim), Daphne and Barb (Angelo); many nieces and nephews Karen, Craig, Scot, Jennifer, Janice, Kim, Debbie, Chris, Mark and Susan; all of their spouses and children and a lifetime of friends. The choirs in Heaven will sound even more glorious with the addition of their new Bass. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Health Sciences Center for their kindness and compassion. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 9:30 am from Corpus Christi Church with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Donald's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
