Ian Vernon Grant, 72, of Boutiliers Point, formerly of Merigomish, Pictou County, passed away on November 18, 2015 Largo Medical Center, Florida.
Born in Merigomish he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Robeson) Grant.
Ian was a chartered accountant by profession working in Montreal, Toronto, California and Texas and retiring to Boutiliers Point in the early 2000's where he and his wife Tanya built their dream home.
Ian was raised in the St.Margaret's Bay Masonic Lodge #118 and serving a term as Worshipful Master and he was also an active member and Treasurer of the Hubbards Barn Association and the Hook Rug Museum of North America Society and a former member of the 100 Beaches Association.
Survived by his wife Tanya C. (Boichuck); son, Ian-Matthew (Amanda) Sprague. Halifax; granddaughter, Keira; brothers, Ken (Pat) Moncton; Barry (Margaret), Halifax; sister-in-law Deanna (Warren) Groulx, Ontario; a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sister, Joan Dinsmore.
