Duff, Kenneth M.
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kenneth Duff announces his passing which took place on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Punjab, India on January 18, 1932, he was a son of the late William Duff and Helen (Anderson) Bertholf. Kenneth was a loving husband to Doris (Fairweather) Duff for 18 years.
Kenneth was a very talented and much appreciated chief librarian at UNBSJ for 32 years, and an avid chess player.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth will be missed by his children, Michael Duff (Gretchen) and Karen Duff (Don Stanley); grandchildren, Madeline and Anna Grace Duff; step grandchildren, Yasmeen and Sara Malik; a great granddaughter Malika Malik; sister-in-law, Sally-Lyn Duff; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Patches.
Kenneth was predeceased by his parents; a brother, William Duff; his first wife and the mother of his children, Mary Lou Duff and his second wife, Lorna Hutchinson.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to pm. A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 from Grace Presbyterian Church, 101 Coburg Street, Saint John.
