Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on December 15, 2015, Dorothy Cummings, formerly of Flat Island, Bonavista Bay, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband George Cummings; brothers Edwin and Gerald Samson. Leaving to mourn her daughter Debbie (Randy) Holloway; son Craig (Jackie Manuel); sister Yvonne Aker; special friends Ella Bailey and Marjorie Frampton; her weekly card club at Summerville Condominiums; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. As per Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell's Funeral home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday December 19 and Sunday December 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private interment to take place at General Protestant Cemetery on Monday December 21 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit or a charity of one's choice.
