DOROTHY JONES
July 26, 1927 – December 17, 2015
Dorothy Alice Jones was born on July 26, 1927 to Tommy and Ruby France in Shamrock, Sask. Dorothy grew up and received all of her schooling there. She loved to play baseball and skate and that is how she met Ivor Jones. They moved to Moose Jaw and were married on December 31, 1954. In 1962 their daughter, Shari was born and Dorothy became a stay at home Mom. Ivor and Dorothy enjoyed camping and spent many summers doing so. On January 3, 2001 Ivor passed away suddenly and Dorothy eventually moved into Chateau St. Michael, where she resided until her passing. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shari, son-in-law, Bruce Box, grandson, Evan and granddaughter, Amy and her husband, Chris Legare, as well as her two sweethearts, her great-grandsons, Brady and Bryce. We would like to thank the staff at Chateau St. Michael for all their care over the past 8 years. A Private Family Service will take place. Della Ferguson will officiate. Donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. In living memory of Dorothy, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
