WOOD, BARRY INGRAM –
Barry Ingram Wood of Pugsley Avenue, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015. Born 1951, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Peggy Elizabeth (Ingram) and William Charles Wood. Barry began working for Canada Post in 1972. He continued his career as a Postal Worker for 34 years. Barry was a member of the Saint John Fish & Game Association and Saint John Slow Pitch – Fabulous Phantoms.
Barry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Vera Ann (Floyd) of 22 years; daughter Jennifer Wood (Robert) of Saint John; grandson William C.R. Wood; step-children Tammy and David; three step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren; mother-in-law Mary Floyd of Sussex; sisters Carolyn George (Buddy) of Grandbay-Westfield, Nancy McCaffrey of Hampton, Carla Gee (George) of Mannatech; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, December 28th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Barry’s Life will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, December 29th at 2 pm followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
