Moncton, NB – George Delaney, 87, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Célina (Poirier) Delaney.
George will be sadly missed by his daughter, Maureen Ferrari (Richard) of Natick, Mass; his son, George (Gisele) of Moncton; his brother, Roméo (Ray) (late Jemma) of Waltham, Mass; his two sisters, Isabelle Pettipit (late Francis) of Wayland, Mass, Juliette O’Byrne (late Rod) of Waltham; his grandson, Danny of Natick, Mass; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Cécile (2014); two brothers, Désiré, Albénie; three sisters, Irène, Rita and Florence.
As per George’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
