BRIDEAU, MARY "IRIS"
Peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home, Mary “Iris” (Bouchie) Brideau, devoted wife of Wilfred Brideau of 58 years was called home to be with her son Philip Brideau, in her 76th year on Monday, December 28th 2015. She was the daughter of the late Mary “Lottie “Wilson and Joseph Bouchie.
Iris lived her life as a very caring, loving, generous and giving person. She was devoted to her family, friends and also lending a hand to those in need. She was known as a hard worker, enjoyed singing and was truly devoted to her faith. She was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #6595.
Iris is survived by her husband Wilfred, two sons; Bob (Elizabeth) and Tom (Cathy), three daughters; Cathy (Rob) Wilcox, Judy (Brian) Beyea all of Saint John, N.B and Heather (Angus) LaPointe of Gibbon’s, Alberta, daughter-in-law; Wendy Brideau. She is also survived by her three brothers; Edward (Irene), Ronnie and Bobby all of Saint John, N.B., special niece, Janice Letson. Iris will be forever missed by her 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Iris is predeceased by her son, Philip Brideau and two brothers; Percy and Leo.
Iris will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Wednesday, December 30th 2015 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 31st 2015 at 12:05 P.M. from Stella Maris Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
