Laurence Gordon Bourne, at the age of 79, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at home on Dec 24th, 2015. Larry (Lar ) would want it known that he died doing what he loved; listening to loud music and relaxing at home after making his Christmas Eve Fish n' Brewis and Chowder. Larry will be remembered fondly as a great writer and funny story teller. He was an avid reader, and a renowned cook. He was a very proud Newfoundlander, and loved movies. He often reminisced about the days when he ran the Clarendon Movie Theatre in Clarenville. He leaves to mourn his partner Joan Proctor and 4 children, Lyn Thorne (David), Kevin (Cindi), Stephen (Lisa), Kim Doughty (Steve), and 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor, Zach, Tana, and Sean. As well as his sisters Agnes Fennell, Margot Ryan (Cyril), and Janice Swim (Cleve), as well as many nieces and nephews. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. His ashes are to be scattered in the waters off Greenspond NL, where his heart was.
