HENRY KEEPING
November 24, 1959 – January 3, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry Keeping announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday January 3, at the age of 56 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Henry was the son of the late John and Hannah Keeping. He was also predeceased by his sister Minnie Osmond, father and mother in law Cyril and Emma Jane Keeping, brother in law Ronnie Keeping, uncle Richard Blackmore, aunts; Cecily Mauger, Martha Osmond, Linda Skeard and Eileen Battiste. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories his wife Sheila of 36 years, his children; Cyril (Jennifer) and Jody all of Port aux Basques. A proud poppy he will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren Dakota and Kyle. He will forever remain in the hearts of his brothers; Wayne Keeping and Roland (Roxanne) Keeping all of Port aux Basques. Sisters and brothers in law; Edith (Isreal) Kinslow Isle aux Morts, Max (Linda) Keeping Ontario Maxine (Roy) Spicer Rose Blanche, Gerald Keeping (Barbara Brown) Ontario, George Keeping (Debbie) Isle aux Morts, Raymond Keeping Ontario, Alice Keeping Port aux Basques and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews from the Keeping and Blackmore families and many friends. He will also be sadly missed by his card club girls Shirley Savory, Cluda Bobbett, Jodie Dicks, Donna Carter and Kim Lambert. Visitation took place on Tuesday January 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., Port aux Basques. Funeral services took place on Wednesday January 6, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church Channel, officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard, interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.
