CLINTON ROY SAMPLE
October 5, 1947 ~ December 30, 2015
Clint passed away at home on Wednesday December 30, 2015. He will be missed by his wife Chrys, sons Curt (Lisa) and Quincey (Esther), grandchildren Taylor (Aurora), Luke, Tyson, Joel and Hailey, brothers Gordon and Myron, and sister Sheila (Rick) Betker. Clint was predeceased by his son Nevin, his parents Arthur Sample and Margaret Henry, his brother Glen and his sister Janet Porter.
Clint was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and lived in Saskatoon before moving his family to Pender Harbour in 1981. Even though he was a flatlander, he bought a fish boat and happily worked as a commercial fisherman. He loved working with wood, and in his spare time he built houses. The last house he built was Francis Point Bed and Breakfast, which gave him the opportunity to use his cooking skills; his specialty was a prawn omelette. It was his pleasure to visit with guests from other countries and talk about fishing.
Thank you to the staff at the Pender Harbour Health Centre with special thanks to the Palliative Care Nurses Jen, Leslie, Heather, Alicia and Elise. The care you gave Clint was spectacular.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday January 2, 2015.
We’re thankful you’re at peace, Clint. We’ll miss you.
